According to Katie, "All I ever needed to know about life I learned in kindergarten.  Well, at least that's when I met Alexis and learned a lot about friendship."   Katie met Colin some years later in middle school, and became close friends with him as well.  Katie has earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University in 2007.  She has also been of great assistance in wedding planning.

 

Crystal Alexander attended Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Science. She currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio and is employed at AT&T. Crystal and Alexis met while pursuing membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc ~ Delta Phi Chapter.

 

Joy attended Ohio University as an undergrad, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She then went on to the University of Pennsylvania to receive a Master’s degree in reading/writing/literacy. Currently she is a third grade teacher at Western Row Elementary School in Mason, Ohio. Alexis and Joy met during their sophomore year at Ohio University. Together, they became members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and have remained close friends ever since.

 

 

 

Courtney is Alexis's cousin from Chicago, Illinois.  She graduated from Duke University as a literature major and will graduate from Georgetown Law School in the spring. After graduation she plans to work for the law firm Stroock Stroock & Lavan in New York City. Courtney and Alexis have been friends their whole lives.

 

Alexis and Emilie met in Mackinnon Hall freshman year at Ohio University. Their dorm rooms were next to one another and as luck would have it, they had the same major.  They quickly became friends. Alexis was always full of amusing information, great to watch a movie with, and, of course, always up for a good party. After dormitory years, they lived together in a home on North Lancaster Road. Emilie has many memories with Alexis that mean so much to her. Even though their lives have taken them to different places, their friendship has remained strong. Emilie currently resides in Columbus, Ohio.

As sisters, Devan and Alexis have shared their lives together. Their relationship has steadily grown from early childhood antics to adoration and friendship. After completing high school in 2005, Devan began attending Columbus State Community College to  pursue a degree in the arts. Devan plans to earn an Assiocates degree in creative writing 2008 . She has shown her love for both Alexis and Colin by assisting whenever needed and by creating this informative website.    

 

 

 

 

 

Larae earned a degree in communications at Ohio University in 2004.  She later studied speech and communication as a Master's student at New York University. She currently resides in Washington, DC. She met Alexis through their sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. during their sophomore year.

 

Lorien met Alexis during the HORRIBLE, mandatory dorm orientation at Ohio University in 2000. Alexis described Lori as, "the tall girl who wouldn't stop talking." After living together for four years and having almost all the same classes in visual communications,­ ­ there was little they did not know about one another.  Lori now lives 637.96 miles (10 hours and 33 minutes) away from Alexis in Cincinnati, working her days away at Barefoot Advertising. They email each other all the time and long for those carefree days in Athens.  Lori is now engaged and is currently planning her wedding.

 

Jane Shull met Alexis on their first day of kindergarten at Maryland Avenue Elementary. Upon moving to New York after college graduation, they were roommates for two fun- filled years in Manhattan, while Jane worked in Business Development for Christie's Auction House and was a member of the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra. Jane is now a Special Events Coordinator for the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  When Jane and Alexis get together they love going out to dinner and to the movies, and enjoying the occasional round of discount shopping. Jane is beyond thrilled for Alexis and Colin and wishes them both a very long and loving life together.  Jane is currently engaged and planning to wed Ian O'Brian Rupert in May 2008.
